Obsessions: ♡ March 2016 Favourites ♡

01:52:00

I'm not someone to shop constantly, or have a huge makeup collection to try and test out new things, but apa salahnya (what's so wrong) if I want to write a monthly favourite? Some of these products that work for me, may not necessarily work for you, so please don't feel obligated to purchase these products immediately just because I like them. This post is just to give some of those products a lil' lovin because yknow, internet.

For primer, I've been on the hunt for a good, cheap one for like ever. In Malaysia, you don't have a wide array of options. I hear there are a couple of good ones, but idk man being oily, primers sort of intimidate me lol. Now this particular product, you can't get in Malaysia, but I'm sure you can find it on any instashop. The Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer has become my go to, ultimately because of it's lasting and oil control power. I love using the Nivea Men's Post Shave Balm to make my makeup last longer, but it doesn't really help with controlling my oiliness. This primer gives a really smooth and hydrated base, and makes my makeup look hella fine.

I'm starting to realise that slowly but very surely I'm turning into a foundation addict, and I ain't even mad. I don't wear makeup every day, which should indirectly show that I do not need a lot of makeup, but dude foundations are so fascinating! Like, it takes me from looking like a soggy, 5-hour old fry, to McDonald's fries fresh out of the fryer sprinkled with extra salt and was given a little lovin. So, I bought the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless foundation because of all the hype on YouTube (once again, thanks YouTube for making me broke), and dude it totally deserves it. The coverage?? BRUH. What are scars? Blemishes? Oh, I've never heard of those before! It's so lightweight, I sometimes forget I'm wearing makeup. It just makes me look so flawless! I feel sad using it because it's so mothaeffin expensive but it makes me look so good???

So I only recently got into the whole brow routine thingy-majiga, and for the past 6 months, I've only been using my L'Oreal Brow Stylist kit and loveeee it. As many of you have heard of the cult favourite; the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, I thought maybe I should try it out. Theeeeeeeen I looked at my wallet, then my residing country, then my wallet again and succumbed to the reality of being broke. Walking into Guardian at Wangsa Walk before tuition, I saw the Maybelline Fashion Brow Sharp Pencil on display and went like "wow hebat(amazing)" and picked it up. Now, when I do my brows, I always reach for this just because I think it's easy to use, I like the pencil, the spoolie and wahey my L'Oreal brow kit is just sittin' there, sad. :(

Mascaraaaaaaa! If you read my post on the best drugstore mascara of all time, then you'll know which mascara I'm talking about. The Maybelline Lash Sensational is like my new holy grail, I cannot live without, if I had only one mascara to buy from the drugstore typa' shiz. It curls, lengthens, volumises and all that good stuff.

Lastly, I have been reaching for the Smashbox Double Exposure eyeshadow palette really freakin' often. The shades are very versatile compared to the Full Exposure palette. You've got your browns, your mauves, a black, a blue, a purple and yadiya. I feel like if you want to get just one palette that has everything you need, get this. The pigmentation is A+, it blends beautifully, and the it comes with a large mirror. Also, the brush is freakin dope?? Very rarely do you get brushes in palettes that actually work, and this does the trick.

So, my cheeky dumplings, those were my March favourites of 2016, and would probably be till 2017 because a hoe needs actual bank to buy more shit (or yknow if you wanna send me makeup darls I'd be more than GLAD to accept them). Tell me your favourites below!

Love,
Taty
