Drugstore Makeup: High End Dupes #1

02:09:00

Don't you just love finding an amazing drugstore dupe to your hole-burning high end makeup product? Drugstore dupes are a cult favourite topic to discuss and debate about; whether they're worthy of being a dupe or not, if they're actually better compared to the high end version, and all that good stuff.

Today, the dupes shown aren't exact dupes in shades, whatsoever, they're close, but not a carbon copy. The dupes I'm sharing today are very similar in texture and finish. So, if you want to know the drugstore dupes I found from my small makeup collection, do read on!
NARS Blush in Orgasm
Firstly for blushes; the NARS blush in Orgasm and the Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher in 32 Ambre D'Or. Their shades are slightly similar, the NARS being more coral-pink toned and the Bourjois more rosy-peach toned. The touch of the products aren't similar, but I swear the pigmentation is just as good and they both blend just the same. Both shades have specks of gold microglitter in them, but what's nice is that the glitter is part of the blushes, not just a spray on layer. They both give a lovely natural flush and glow to the skin and blend into the skin to look more natural and healthy.

Benefit Watt's Up Cream Highlighter
For highlighter; the Benefit Watt's Up cream highlighter and the Essence Soo Glow! cream to powder highlighter in 10 Look on the Bright Side. The shades are completely different; the Benefit is a more champagne tone whereas the Essence is a pearl tone, but their finishes are so similar! The touch of the Essence highlighter is definitely creamier compared to the Benefit, but both blend seamlessly into the skin and give the exact finish. If they were the same shade, I honestly couldn't tell one from the other.

MAC Lip Pencil in Whirl

And lastly, lip liners! My dupe for the MAC lip pencil in Whirl is the Max Factor Colour Elixir Lip Liner in 06 Mauve Moment. The Max Factor is slightly more cool toned and has a hint of lavender in the shade compared to the MAC. Although their shades aren't exactly the same, the feeling on the lips, the creaminess, the finish, they're all the same! If you're searching for a quality lip liner from the high street, head for the Max factor lip liners, they're super worth it.
